Building Demolitions - Western Cleanwood – Public comments invited 

Septemebr 21, 2021 – As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed Building Demolitions - Western Cleanwood, located at 9815 Robson Road, Surrey are likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Written comments to be received by October 20, 2021

To help inform this determination and a decision on whether or not to approve the proposed project, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.  For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website. In addition, your contact information may be shared with third parties, e.g., the tenant, other relevant agencies, to help respond to your questions and inform possible mitigations. 

Written comments must be submitted by October 20, 2021.

The proposed project 

Western Cleanwood proposes to demolish all buildings (except for an electrical utility shed) at the Western Cleanwood site at 9815 Robson Road, Surrey. The buildings include an assortment of warehouse, office and utility buildings, and storage tanks. There are three main building complexes and four ancillary buildings/storage tanks with a total area of approximately 9,200 square meters. Building demolition will not include the removal of foundations and excavation work will not be required. The remaining utility services will be capped and terminated above ground. The works are estimated to take approximately 6 weeks to complete.
