The Proposed Project

The Real Property Operations Detachment Borden requires infrastructure to support staff and maintenance activities at the Central Heating Plant at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden. The additional space will provide facilities for welding activities, storage, parking, and staff facilities. The proposed project includes the construction of a new annex building, approximately 223m2 in size, consisting of a pre-engineered structure along with all of the building services required, such as utilities and a parking lot for approximately 16 cars. The proposed location is at 21c Spitfire Lane, CFB Borden and is on a known contaminated site. Construction activities are expected to last approximately 10 months and the facility will begin operations following the completion of construction.
