The Proposed Project:

The project will upgrade the drinking water distribution and storage systems in the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation in Ontario.

The work involves extending the existing closed watermain from lot number 112 by 1,230 metres to service an additional 40 homes within the community and looping the line back to the supply.  A number of fire hydrants will be installed along the new line.

The project will improve the delivery of drinking water, allow future community demand to be met, address health and safety concerns associated with a closed watermain, support better fire protection and ensure alignment with provincial standards.

Work is expected to start in the 2021 construction season and be completed the following year.
