The Proposed Project Amendment

Schnitzer Steel Canada Ltd., proposes to carry out physical activities related to the instalment of a fire suppression system, including four piers for the foundation of two fire monitor towers, until December 31, 2021. This would require an extension to the approved project permit (PER 18-196-01), which has an expiry date of April 30, 2021.

Due to materials shipment delays, the project would not be completed prior to April 30, 2021. There are no changes to construction activity or the scope of the work.
