Stabilization of the slope – section 104 of the Port of Montreal – The public is invited to comment by April 25th 2021

 

March 26, 2021 – A new project has been proposed and before proceeding, the Montreal Port Authority (MPA) must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

 

To help inform this decision, the MPA is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

MPA wishes to stabilize the embankment at section 104 of the Port of Montréal. The project involves the installation of a concrete retaining wall to limit the retreat of the top of the slope, a softening of the slope and the laying of riprap.
