Notice of intent to make a determination

Dene Tha' First Nation Bushe River Water System Project – Public Comments Invited

February 3, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Dene Tha' First Nation Bushe River Water System Project located in the Bushe River Reserve #207 is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

The proposed project will involve the installation of a new water supply system for Bushe River immediately East of the town of High Level. The water system will consist of the following components: a water supply line from the Town of High Level, a truckfill pumphouse, a reservoir,  a water distribution system to key public buildings and the rental sub-division, and sewage collection for the rental sub-division.
