December 18, 2020 – The Halifax Port Authority (HPA) must determine whether the proposed Terminal Dock 3 Repairs & Mooring System Replacement located in the Halifax Harbour at the Imperial Oil Dartmouth Terminal, adjacent to 600 Pleasant Street, Dartmouth, NS, B2Y 3Z7 (Latitude 44 deg 38'10" Longitude: 63 deg 32' 15") is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, HPA is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project:

The proposed project includes structural repairs and upgrades to the existing steel and concrete piled dock at Imperial Oil's Dartmouth terminal. The project in general, involves installing four new mooring buoys and permanent anchors that will replace the existing stationary mooring dolphins, repairs to the existing concrete loading dock structure, and repairs to the approach structure that connects the loading dock to the shore.
