YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel – Construction of an industrial building

September 3, 2020 – ADM Aéroports de Montréal must determine whether the proposed project for the construction of an industrial building at YMX International Aerocity of Mirable is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The Proposed Project

A developer is proposing to build an industrial building on a portion of lots 1 692 885, 1 809 921 and 2 455 564 located at the corner of Louis-Bisson and Irénée-Vachon streets at YMX International Aerocity of Mirabel, as shown on the plan.  More specifically, the building would have an area of approximately 2,322 square metres and occupy a lot of approximately 11,593 square metres.  It would be used for logistics activities supporting the manufacturing production of a company already established on the site.  In summary, the building is designed to receive, inspect and store basic parts from various suppliers These parts would subsequently be sent to the assembly workstations of a nearby plant where manufacturing activities are carried out.

No storage of chemical products or industrial processes and waste are planned.

In terms of operation, the building will have various storage systems that will be installed in the logistics building to maximize the number of parts stored while limiting the floor space occupied (minimum height to be respected). The building will also include a meeting room, a cafeteria, changing rooms (M/F), and bathrooms for the comfort of employees. Eventually, between 35 and 40 people will work on the site, divided into two shifts.
