Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Oil separator installation on transformers located outside B216 and H7, Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Bagotville

August 19, 2020 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

This project consists of work execution, labor, materials/supplies and tools needed for the installation of oil separators on transformers located outside the buildings and of electrical and telecom work, inside the buildings.

Work includes but is not limited to, excavation for concrete base pouring, electrical conduits and equipment installation as well as electrical connections inside the buildings necessary for the separator operation.
