The Proposed Project

This project involves the construction of a Long-distance Range within the Range and Training Area of Garrison Wainwright. The Long-distance Range will be constructed immediately adjacent to existing Range 8. Range 8 will be widened to create several new firing lanes. Existing firing point berms will be extended into the new firing lanes. New berms for target placement and bullet-catchers will also be constructed. The Long-distance Range will be 2km in length. Major project activities will include brushing and levelling/berming. A fireguard will likely be required around the perimeter of the range.
