Environmental Impact Assessment Notice

Cameco Corporation (Cameco) is proposing a new underground uranium mine, known as the Millennium Project (the project), located in the Athabasca basin of northern Saskatchewan, approximately 600 kilometers north of Saskatoon.

The project is subject to an environmental assessment under both The Environmental Assessment Act (Saskatchewan) and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012 before the project can be approved.

The public is invited to provide comments on the Environmental Impact Statement and associated documents, the Technical Review Comments and Comprehensive Study Report.

To review the related documents, visit the websites of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment www.environment.gov.sk.ca/programs-services, and Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry www.ceaa.gc.ca (reference number: 49928) or the following locations: First Nations, Metis Nation – Saskatchewan; Northern Hamlet offices in the Athabasca Region; and the Northern Saskatchewan Environmental Quality Committee as well as the Legislative Library in Regina and the Environmental Assessment Branch, Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment.

Deadline for written comments are required by November 18, 2013.
